Q: Where did you grow up?
A: La Grange Park. I’ve lived there my entire life. I live across the street from the house I grew up in. My aunt and uncle live on the same block and my grandmother lives around the corner.
Q: Where did you go to school?
A: St. John of the Cross, Lyons Township High School and Marquette University.
Q: Are you married?
A: Yes. My wife’s name is Megan and we have a son, William, who is 18 months old.
Q: How did you meet your wife?
A: She went to St. John of the Cross, Lyons Township High School and Marquette. We knew each other, but we didn’t connect and start dating until after college. She is a teacher at Gurrie Middle School in La Grange.
Q: There are two teachers in the family?
A: Yes. And my grandfather was a teacher in La Grange Elementary School District 102.
Q: What did you study at Marquette?

A: I was involved in sports in high school and I fell victim to a lot of injuries so I studied athletic training and exercise science. But I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.
Q: What do you like about teaching?
A: Sharing knowledge with students and seeing them develop knowledge is a powerful thing.
Q: What’s your favorite local restaurant?
A: I go to Aurelio’s Pizza in La Grange every Friday night. My wife’s family always did that. It became something I do, too. You will probably see me there every Friday at about 5:30 p.m.
Q: What are your favorite movies?
A: ‘Rainman’ and ‘Remember the Titans’
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: My wife and I are season ticket holders to Marquette mens basketball. It (the university) is near and dear to me. It’s nice to be married to someone who shares the same interest.
