
Vik Puri, 48, and his son, Nikhil, 11, stopped to answer a few questions for the Oak Leaves on Jan. 8 as they left the Oak Park Public Library.
Q: What are you looking forward to in the new year?
V: Getting warmer.
Q: Favorite local restaurant?
V: Lou Malnati’s and their pizza.
N: I still like Lou Malnati’s. And I like Buffalo Wild Wings.
Q: What did you check out from the library today?
N: A couple DVDs — “Back to the Future 2” — and a book from the “Middle School” series by James Patterson.
Q: Are you into science fiction?
V: He likes superheroes. His favorite is Spider-Man. He was Spider-Man for Halloween.
Q: Any other plans today?
V: Going shopping.

V: The book about Obama: “The Obamas,” by Jodi Kantor. It was good.
Q: Travel destination on your bucket list?
N: New York City. I just really like it.
V: Spider-Man’s from New York. [smiled]
Q: Do you have any siblings, Nikhil?
N: I have a twin sister, Aasha.
Q: What’s it like being a twin?
N: It’s pretty fun.
Q: Charity of choice?
V: Ounce of Prevention. My wife works there.
