Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The last week before the holidays can be stressful for even the heartiest of Santa’s elves, but Maker’s Mark is hoping to lighten the load just a little bit.

The bourbon brand is hitting the road with a bake-sale truck, traveling to six U.S. cities to offer treats in busy shopping areas.

Chicago’s on the schedule for Dec. 18, 19 and 20, when the #ShareDelicious truck will park at a different location each day. Text “Makers” to 877-877 to make a $5 donation directly to Share Our Strength, a nonprofit org that combats hunger and poverty, then flash your donation confirmation at the truck to get some swag and a free snack, like Maker’s Mark-infused hot-toddy caramel popcorn, a savory cheddar-chive biscuit or a “deep-dish piecaken,” a raspberry pie-meets-cake hybrid. Even if you don’t donate, you can still enjoy a complimentary hot spiced cider — just remember the Grinch, er, the law restricts the company from giving out free alcohol, so don’t expect any additional “holiday spirit” if you stop by.

Find the Maker’s Mark bake-sale truck at Pioneer Court (adjacent to the Tribune Tower at 435 N. Michigan Ave.) on Sunday, Dec. 18, Millienium Park (at the southeast corner of Randolph Street and Michigan Avenue) on Monday, Dec. 19, and the Merchandise Mart (at the western end, near the Chicago River) on Tuesday, Dec. 20, parked from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
