player ready...Everyone’s favorite food hall is ramping up its seasonal offerings, starting this Saturday.
Normally open weekdays only, the Loop’s Revival Food Hall is kicking off “Saturday Service” brunch hours beginning this weekend (Nov. 12) through the holiday shopping season, ending Dec. 17.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (5 p.m. for the bar). All 15 vendors will observe these hours, with some offering brunch-exclusive items.
From The Budlong, expect a Champagne and fried chicken special, and fried chicken and smoked Gouda biscuit sandwiches dubbed “love biscuits.” Neighboring vendors Smoque and The Fat Shallot are collaborating on a brisket and hash, with barbecued brisket from Smoque and roasted potatoes and caramelized onions from The Fat Shallot, blanketed by two fried eggs. The cafe, meanwhile, will offer new drinks (hello, pumpkin buttered latte), brunch cocktails and Mindy Segal’s famous hot chocolate. Also expect bloody mary carts strewn throughout the hall.
What Revival is calling “weekend programming” (mostly holiday sales from local vendors) may tempt you to linger post-brunch. The free events launch this weekend with a floor-model sale from the Dock 6 design collective, a group of local indie designers and furniture-makers whose touches can be found throughout the food hall. Curbside Books & Records is slated to host the next event, the Book Fort Book Fair on Nov, 19. Stay tuned for more events throughout the holiday season.
