A 3-year-old boy who suffered cuts and bruises was found dead in a West Pullman neighborhood apartment Monday afternoon.
The boy may have been dead an hour before emergency crews were summoned to the apartment in the 12200 block of South Green Street, according to authorities.
Paramedics responded to a call of a person who was not breathing about 12:40 p.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department.
They found the boy and tried to resuscitate him but were not successful. The child was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where medics tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead about 1:15 p.m., according to the Fire Department.
Police didn’t have any additional information.
