Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If you’re a groupie for all things from the Fifty/50 crew, you’re in luck: The growing restaurant group — behind The Sixth, Steadfast, Roots Handmade Pizza and more — is opening up a new watering hole.

Dubbed Bodega, the cocktail lounge is slated to open by the end of the month in the Acme Hotel in River North (15 E. Ohio St.). It’ll be right above The Berkshire Room, another Fifty/50 property.

Christian Hetter of The Berkshire Room will also man the bar at Bodega, channeling the spirit of a corner store (aka bodega) by shaking up bottled, flasked and slushied drinks. The current working menu features whimsical takes inspired by soda (think red, blue and purple fizzy drinks), boozier drinks made with brown spirits, and a negroni colada with rum, Campari, pineapple and coconut.

The Berkshire Room isn’t fancy, per se, but it is sleek; Bodega will be a little more relaxed. Expect a retro living room vibe with lots of plush seating and approachable food, including sweets made by West Town Bakery & Diner.
