Six men were wounded in shootings in Chicago from midday Tuesday through early Wednesday, according to police.
* About 12:35 a.m. Wednesday on the South Side, a 19-year-old man was shot in the left leg in the South Chicago neighborhood. The victim was in a basement in the 8400 block of South Kingston Avenue playing dice with someone who fired shots after an argument, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman. The victim was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
* About 7:25 p.m. Tuesday on the Far South Side, a 36-year-old man was shot in the right leg and groin in the Fernwood neighborhood. The man was standing in the alley in the 300 block of West 103rd Street when he heard shots and felt pain, Gaines said. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
* About 6:15 p.m. on the South Side, a 25-year-old man was shot in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, near East 70th Street and South Harper Avenue. The man was hit in the left leg and grazed in the neck. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
* About 1:20 p.m. on the South Side, someone shot a 25-year-old man in the leg in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said. It happened in the 7900 block of South Saginaw Avenue. He was leaving a store when someone stepped out of a car, shot him and fled. The wounded man was taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition, police said.
* About 12:55 p.m. on the West Side, a 29-year-old man was shot in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street. The victim was standing on the corner when four people approached and started shooting, then fled on foot. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
* About 11:45 a.m. on the West Side, someone shot a 33-year-old man in the 3900 block of West Van Buren Street, police said. He was in a car when two people approached and one shot him three times in the torso. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
