16-year-old located after going missing from Lawndale

A 16-year-old girl who disappeared from the Lawndale neighborhood midweek has been found, police said Sunday afternoon.

Katelyn Compton, who disappeared from the 1800 block of South St. Louis Avenue on Wednesday, has been found, police said.

Compton is a black girl who stands about 5-foot-6 and weighs about 240 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information on where she might be is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
