The following items were discussed and/or action was taken at the village of Harwood Heights Board of Trustees meeting on April 14.
Expenditures approved
The village approved a $7,494 contract with ComEd for electric service in the village pump house.
$1,120 in diesel fuel was purchased from Al Warren Oil Co. for the public works department for the month of March.
A one-year contract for $1,838 with software company Sensus was approved by the Village Board.
$11,117 was paid to Chicago-based engineering firm Clark Dietz for several infrastructure projects, including water main replacement and pump house renovations, according to the village.
$14,656 was paid to Chicago-based accounting firm Miller Cooper & Co. Ltd. for accounting services.
$4,980 was paid to Third Millennium for costs related to the management of vehicle registration applications and mailing services.
$3,487 was paid to insurance provider, The Hartford, for special risk insurance for the youth commission programs.
$22,993 in attorney fees for the month of March was paid to Chicago law firm Ancel Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni & Krafthefer.
$8,369 was paid to Azavar Audit Solutions of Chicago for the recovery of utility tax auto fees.
The village paid $750 to the Polish American Police Association for the organization’s annual meeting.
Village to allow Little Caesars to install temporary advertising
The new Little Caesar’s restaurant that opened on April 5, at 4832 Harlem Ave., will be allowed to hang four advertising banners on the property for a 30-day period, according to the village.
Disabled parking sign to be removed
The Village Board approved a request to remove a handicapped parking sign on the 7500 block of West Gunnison Street.
Next board meeting scheduled
The next meeting of the Harwood Heights Board of Trustees will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 7300 W. Wilson Ave.
