Several incidents of theft were reported recently in Wheaton.
Two separate incidents occurred at Kohl’s, 401 S. County Farm Road. On Jan. 29, a 37-year-old person from West Chicago was charged with retail theft for allegedly shoplifting two shirts valued at $65 each, police said. On Jan. 23 two juveniles were charged with retail theft for allegedly shoplifting multiple items, including a Bluetooth speaker, a steak knife, a box cutter, headphones, a FitBit bracelet and multiple compact discs from Kohl’s, police said. The items had a combined value of less than $300.
Across town at Express, 151 Town Square, an unknown female was reported to have hidden in a changing room and pried security devices off two tank tops before running out of the store and disappearing in the parking lot. The tops had a combined value of $40,
In another reported theft, a commercial lawn mower and the trailer used to haul it to various jobs were reported stolen from an alley behind the leased offices of a former lawn care business in the 600 block of Childs Street between Dec. 21 and Dec. 31. The owner continues to lease the property to store his lawn care equipment, according to reports.
