Lake County Crime Stoppers and the Antioch Police Department are seeking the public’s help in finding out who damaged two holiday statues on display in downtown Antioch.
The statues, which were part of Antioch’s Charles Dickens Village Display, were located near 900 Main Street and the intersection of Lake and Toft streets. On Nov. 26 and Nov. 30, the heads of the statues were removed. The damage is believed to have occurred in the early morning hours, possibly between midnight and 3 a.m., according to authorities.
Crime Stoppers and Antioch police remind everyone to call when suspicious activity or a suspicious person is observed. Do not try to confront suspicious subjects yourself, officials said.
