Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies recovered two spent shell casings Friday evening after responding to a call for shots fired at a campground near Yorkville.

Deputies said someone reported seeing a pickup truck on Creekside Lane at the Hide-Away-Lakes Campground, 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, around 8:30 p.m. The witness heard gunshots, and then allegedly saw the truck speed toward the campground’s exit.
Deputies responded and found two spent shell casings near the scene. Nothing appeared to have been damaged. No additional suspect information was provided.
