Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I started work at Leyden Community High Schools in 1999 as the new/first computer network engineer/manager, and retired in 2010.

Today, I had the pleasure of being the guest of Bryan Weinert, the district’s technology director, for a tour. I was astounded at the technology that has been implemented since I retired. In addition, the one-to-one initiative (every student gets a laptop computer) is truly amazing.

The board of education should be commended for its insight into their motto, “What’s best for the kids.” In addition, the communities of Franklin Park and Northlake should be commended for supporting their elected board of education members.
