The Google searches have it: Cubs win.
The Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates in 48 states when it came to Google searches over a 24-hour period from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to Google.
Pennsylvania and West Virginia were the only states in which more users searched for “Pirates” than “Cubs” during that period, the company said.
The teams face off at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park in a game that will determine who plays the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League division series.
