A janitor at an Aurora business has been charged with felony unauthorized recording for allegedly photographing a woman using the restroom, Aurora police said.
According to Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli, William Mayes, 57, 2400 block of North Farnsworth Avenue, works as a janitor at a business in the 900 block of South Lake Street.
Sometime between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Thursday, police said Mayes took a picture of a female co-worker who was using the women’s restroom inside the business.
Because of maintenance being done to the building, there is a hole in a common wall between the men’s and women’s restrooms, Ferrelli said. Police said Mayes took the photo while in the men’s restroom.
