I have never met village President Larry Levin nor attended the meetings of the liquor commission but, after reading an article

about it in the Aug. 27 Glencoe News, I am amazed and appalled that a liquor license was given to Cibo Trattoria, whose owner, Rick Raschillo who has been convicted of solicitation for murder and at least two other felonies. Though those offenses occurred more than 10 years ago, Mr. Raschillo was not a delinquent 16-year-old who can claim youth as a defense. He was all grown up, an adult who did these horrendous things when they should not have even been a consideration. As quoted in the Glencoe News, Mr. Levin sounds like Mr. Raschillo’s apologist and appears to be without the appropriate judgment to properly protect the people of Glencoe. If Mr. Raschillo’s restaurant is given a liquor license, then what does it take to have your application denied?
