A third 14-year-old boy has been charged with residential burglary in a July incident on Aurora’s East Side.

According to police, two 14-year-old boys and a 20-year-old Aurora man had previously been taken into custody and charged in regards to the burglary and theft of a vehicle.

The burglary occurred sometime between noon July 12 and 3 p.m. July 13 at a home in the 700 block of Four Seasons Boulevard, police said.

Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said during the burglary, keys to a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze were found inside the house. The vehicle was stolen and later recovered on July 14 near Sumner Street and Binder Street.

Christian Renteria, 20, of the 1500 block of Wild Rose Lane, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle after officers allegedly found him inside the car.

Ferrelli said Renteria was apparently given the keys to the vehicle by one of the 14-year-old teens. All three teens have been charged with residential burglary and two of them also face additional charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
