Fundraiser: The Teen and Single Mother Resource Center, Inc. will hold a Fitness-Fund-A-Thon from 10 a.m. to noon May 30 at Hinkston Park, 810 Baldwin Ave. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. There will be Zumba, mini boot camps, circuit training, a DJ, and more. Ceremony and open house: A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house was scheduled Friday to celebrate the opening of the Lovell Federal Health Care Center’s new gastroenterology clinic. Officials said the bigger and more centrally located space will provide improved access and care The new GI Clinic is located on the third floor of Building 133, 3001 Green Bay Road. The public was invited to tour the new space immediately after the ribbon-cutting. The extensive renovation project combined the existing GI clinic and endoscopy, doubling the square-footage with three new state-of-the-art procedure rooms and a six-bed holding/post-anesthesia care unit. New services include advanced endoscopic ultrasound with integrated 3-D imaging, and a dedicated hepatitis clinic. The hepatitis clinic will provide more patients advanced therapies.
