She Gooped up

Stars, they’re not just like us. At least Gwyneth Paltrow’s definitely not. After accepting chef Mario Batali’s challenge to try feeding her family for a week on a $29 budget—the amount families on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) receive—the self-appointed lifestyle guru only made it four days, the Washington Post reports. “As I suspected, we only made it through about four days, when I personally broke and had some chicken and fresh vegetables (and in full transparency, half a bag of black licorice),” Paltrow said. The concoction will be layered with all the good stuff: marshmallow-flavored whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce and blended coffee mixed with graham cracker. And then, of course, topped with more marshmallow whipped cream. And sprinkled with more graham cracker.

After some initial hesitation, Laverne Cox decided to accept Allure’s invitation to pose nude for their May issue, People reports. “I said no initially, thought about it, and said no again. But I’m a black transgender woman. I felt this could be really powerful for the communities that I represent,” the “Orange is the New Black” actress said. The black and white shot is part of a spread featuring Cox and other stars talking about their bodies. “Going through life,” Cox told the magazine, “you try to cover and hide, but it doesn’t really work.”

I mean, he’s been able to overcome that. Why couldn’t I see that at the time?”—Josh Hartnett about turning down the role of Batman in an interview with Playboy.
