No April Fool’s Day joke: Street cleaning season started Wednesday.

Drivers should be on the lookout for the temporary orange signs popping up on the blocks where their cars are parked. Chicago’s main streets have permanent signs to let drivers know when the weekly street cleanings are scheduled.

If drivers don’t move their cars so sweepers can clear the street, they can get a $60 ticket.

Street sweeping season runs through mid-November. For times and locations, check out the city’s street sweeping schedule.
