Despite freezing temperatures, time is running out if you want to go ice skating at any of Chicago’s rinks, including the ice ribbon at Maggie Daley Park.
Sunday is the last day to skate around seven outdoor rinks on Chicago Park District property.
The ice ribbon at Maggie Daley Park, however, will stay open through March 8 as will the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink at Millennium Park.
The quarter-mile ice ribbon has attracted thousands of skaters. Admission is free but it costs $12 to rent skates. One month after opening in December, more than 28,000 pairs of skates were rented, generating more than $300,000, park officials have said.
