NBC has renewed its Chicago-set franchise series “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” for the 2015-16 TV season, along with three other dramas.

“The Blacklist,” which moved recently to Thursday nights; the Friday night frightfest “Grimm;” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” currently in its 16th season, also will be back in the fall.

“Chicago Fire” will move into its fourth season this fall, while “P.D.” will start its third.

The “Chicago” team of Derek Haas, Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead and Michael Brandt are working up another “Chicago Fire” spinoff called “Chicago Medical,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. They are currently casting for a special “Fire” episode set in a hospital that could end up serving as a pilot for the potential series.

No word on whether “State of Affairs,” “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Constantine,” “Marry Me” or “About a Boy” will return with new seasons.
