A group of local men with two things in common — their passion for Bocce Ball and the letter “M” — were recently recognized for their winning ways.
The bocce ball team “MMMMM” representing the first letter of each team member’s last name, took first place in the Elmwood Park Park District’s Fall Bocce Ball League.
The teams members are: Tony Menolascino, Sal Manzo, Steve Messina, Steve Messina Jr. and Sam Messina. The team was recognized for their achievements by Elmwood Park Village Board President Angelo “Skip” Saviano at the Dec. 15 Elmwood Park Village Board meeting.
