A 23-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with aggravated domestic battery after police said he battered a woman who was six months pregnant.
Police responded to a call on Woodcreek Drive about 1:50 p.m Sunday and were told that the victim was being battered in a parking lot by a man, later identified as Jonathan D. Yates, police said.
The 22-year-old woman left the area in a vehicle and the man fled on foot, according to police.
Police located and stopped her vehicle and returned to the apartment where the allegedly battery took place.

There, they found Yates’ identification, a handgun, cannabis and a bond sheet for an unrelated unlawful use of a weapon charge, police said.
Police found Yates and chased him on foot before eventually detaining him in the 300 block of Wildflower Way.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
Yates, also of Woodcreek Drive, also faces a felony possession of a firearm charges, and also had two warrants out from Westmont and Clarendon Hills police departments.
He remained in Will County jail on $65,000 bond as of Tuesday, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office website.
