A 4-month-old baby girl has been found safe after she was abducted by her father who kicked in the door to a South Side home early this morning, officials said.
The baby was found around 9 a.m. and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for observation, police said. The father was taken into custody.
The girl had been missing since around 3:30 a.m. when her father forced his way inside the home in the 1100 block of East 82nd Street in the Avalon Park neighborhood following a domestic dispute, Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said, citing preliminary information.
The man, who had a gun with him, left the home with the baby girl, Gaines said.
