Here’s a sampling of what’s on TV during the week of Oct. 28 to Nov. 3.

Monday, Oct. 28

Seduced and Abandoned
8 p.m. Monday, HBO
This documentary takes us behind the scenes as filmmaker James Toback and Alec Baldwin try to get financing for a movie project during the 2012 Cannes International Film Festival. Sounds boring, but it’s actually kind of fascinating.

The Blacklist
8 p.m. Monday, NBC
Maybe we’ll finally learn why Liz’s hubby, Tom, has that box full of money, fake passports and a gun hidden under the floorboards.

The Pete Holmes Show
11 p.m. Monday, TBS
The comic brings a wacky sensibility to this late-night show that offers more laughs than recent “Saturday Night Live” episodes. At least the sizzle trailer sent out did. Watch Holmes play Professor X in the video sketch above.

Tuesday, Oct. 29

Doomsday Preppers
8 p.m. Tuesday, Nat Geo
Maybe they’re not so crazy to be stocking underground bunkers with enough supplies to last years. See “American Blackout” on Sunday.

Naked Vegas
9 p.m. Tuesday, Syfy
In Las Vegas, the Skin Team makes your body painting dreams come true. Even if you didn’t have a body-painting dream. Check out these amazing body painting photos.

Other Tuesday premieres
7 p.m. “Restaurant Redemption,” Cooking
9 p.m. “The Car Chasers,” CNBC

Wednesday, Oct. 30

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
9 p.m. Wednesday, FXX
Frank pulls his money from the gang’s “Lethal Weapon 6” film after losing an argument about what constitutes tasteful nudity. Hard to believe Mac, Dennis and Charlie have a problem with any nudity.

Other Wednesday premieres
7 p.m. “American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards,” Hallmark
8 p.m. “Extreme Cheapskates,” TLC
9 p.m. “South Beach Tow,” truTV

Thursday, Oct. 31

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
7 p.m. Thursday, ABC
You’re never too old to watch the holiday classic. Well, I’m not anyway.

The Vampire Diaries
7 p.m. Thursday, CW
It’s Halloween, which means it’s time for a costume ball! And some blood-sucking.

The Returned
8 p.m. Oct. 31, Sundance
A town is rocked when people who have been dead for years return to their loved ones not having aged a day—or knowing that they ever died. This fresh and compelling French take on the zombie genre doesn’t stop there: A series of violent murders suggest “the returned” aren’t the only ones back from the grave.
