in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
stars in the title role as the former dockworker, Solidarity founder and Polish president. The film also stars Agnieszka Grochowska as Danuta WaA?Ä?sa and Maria Rosaria Omaggio as Oriana Fallaci.
“WaA?Ä?sa. Man of Hope” was produced by Akson Studio, and co-produced by Telewizja Polska SA – Film Agency, Telekomunikacja Polska, Canal+ Poland, Narodowe Centrum Kultury. The film received financial support from the Polish Film Institute.
