Shoe designer Christian Louboutin will bring his signature red-soled shoes to its own Chicago storefront.

In time for holiday shopping frenzy, the purveyor of high-end red soled shoes will open its first free-standing boutique on Oak Street on Friday.

The 1,700-square-foot, two-level store will be located in the historic Esquire Theater, selling men’s and women’s shoes and handbags.

The Louboutin store will be the first business to open in the redeveloped Esquire Theater space. A Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will open on Dec. 1 and Italian jeweler Buccellati on Mar. 1, according to leasing agents Cushman & Wakefield.

By the end of November, the Louboutin brand said it would have 65 stores worldwide.
