An Evanston man has been charged with drug-related felonies after police executed a search warrant at his house today, authorities said.
Myung Jun Kim, 21, of the 1100 block of Foster Street, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Monday and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a Class X felony, along with four other counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of marijuana.

Evanston Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team, which focuses on gang and drug enforcement, obtained the search warrant using information about the alleged sale of illegal drugs, according to a news release. Inside the home, investigators found 8.6 grams of cocaine, 48.5 grams of marijuana, 3.5 grams of Ecstasy in powder form, 21 Ecstasy pills, and $4,832 in cash, the release said.
Kim could not be reached for comment. He is scheduled to be in court Aug. 22 at the Skokie courthouse.
