Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If you’re a RedEye social media follower, you might also know that I, Scott Kleinberg (@scottkleinberg) am the guy behind the tweets, Facebook posts, Google circles, Foursquare checkins and everything else social. Since RedEye first started taking social media by storm in 2008, I’ve never masked my identity because as social media director, I always wanted to make sure readers weren’t confused and that they had an actual person to contact.

Effective Monday (Sept. 12), I’m turning over the keys to the RedEye social media Winnebago to my colleague Jessica Galliart. It’s got a full tank of gas and is ready to roll.

You might already know Jessica. She’s the voice behind @metromixchi on Twitter. Personally, I think she’s going to do great things.

Why the change? Well, I’m heading over to the baiduhai to do even more social media for the baiduhai Media Group. One of the things I’ll be doing is working with the Tribune’s breaking news desk. So you know how you love to tweet @redeyechicago when you see something happening? Keep doing that but also tweet me at @scottkleinberg – I’ll do my best to get your information to the right people.

So while I won’t be coming up with the tweather words and random questions, I’m still in the building to support RedEye and all of our other awesome brands.

If you don’t already, please follow me at @scottkleinberg on Twitter, facebook.com/scottkleinberg72

on Facebook and gplus.to/scottkleinberg on Google Plus.

Please stop by and welcome Jessica to her new role. Better yet, tweet her using the #welcomejessica hashtag. She’s super excited about getting to interact with all of you, and I’m super excited about new opportunities for the both of us in the social media space. I told her you were all amazing and you’d make her feel right at home.

I pretty much live on the internet, so I’ll see you around real soon. Thank you so much for making my job fun every single day. It’s truly been real.
