As the leaves skitter to the ground, it’s the season for fall house walks. On the short list of must-sees this year is the 1959 Danish ranch in Park Ridge that’ll take you for a spin back in time to the mod, mod midcentury. One of 10 homes on the Brickton Art Center Artistic Living Home Tour, the “Mad Men” house incorporates a link-belt turntable in the garage, so no one ever has to back the car out, and a fantail palm tree that has been growing in the greenhouse for 50 years. The house walk is slated for Oct. 17 and 18 and Oct. 24 and 25, with four different homes shown each weekend, plus two shown both weekends. The 1959 ranch will be shown only on the first weekend. Tickets are $25 for one weekend or $40 for both weekends. For more information, visit bricktonartcenter.org or call 847-823-6611.
