Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich is dropping his presidential bid, according to a story on the Web site

of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Kucinich never did better than 3rd place, which he got in Michigan, where no candidate campaigned. He finished 5th in New Hampshire and 8th in Iowa.

In announcing the news, Kucinich said: “I want to continue to serve in Congress,” but that is not a given, as he’s got four Democratic challengers in the upcoming OH primary.

Kucinich said he will not necessarily endorse another primary candidate, but whoever gets the nomination will get this question from him: “What are you going to do for Cleveland?”

With Kucinich gone, only Clinton, Edwards, Obama and former Sen. Mike Gravel remain.
