The Best of Slate: A 10th Anniversary Anthology
Edited by David Plotz, introduction by Jacob Weisberg, foreword by Michael Kinsley
Atlas, 279 pages, $12.95 paper
If you weren’t invited to Slate’s birthday celebration at the New York Public Library and haven’t listened to the podcast of it, here’s a way to look back at a decade’s worth of electronic banter and argument from the online magazine’s Web site–which seemed so novel when it started 10 years ago (this sentence as published has been corrected in this text). Writers like Paul Krugman, Timothy Noah and Marjorie Williams, and Michael Kinsley all translate to the page as well as when we read them online.
