Team gets hot, so do `Illinios’ tickets

The undefeated Illinois basketball team has become such a hot ticket at sold-out Assembly Hall that for the first time “hot tickets” are surfacing. “We had 12 tickets for locations that do not exist for the (Wednesday night) Southeast Missouri State game,” Illinois athletic department spokesman Kent Brown said of the counterfeit tickets. The fakes had the word “Illinois” misspelled twice as “Illinios” and included a price of $50–far above the $29 face value of the top ticket at Illinois. No one had been arrested as of Thursday.
