So when we took in a screening of Gus Van Sant’s “Last Days,” we, of course, thought about Blake, a thinly veiled representation of Kurt Cobain, who was an incredibly dirty guy. And we’re not talking Dirty Harry or Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Blake is the king of grunge. He lives in a falling-down house and prefers a filthy, stained white undershirt to fresh flannel.
