The Pierces
Light of the Moon
Four years after their self-titled debut album bombed, sisters Allison and Catherine Pierce are back with this confident-sounding collection of guitar and synth-based pop songs. All 11 tracks were written (or co-written) by the former professional ballerinas, who embed their tunes with catchy choruses and radio-friendly melodies.
Best track: “I Should Have Known,” an aching, he-don’t-love-me-back tearjerker.
