Rammstein

Reise, Reise

Another year, another Rammstein release. Like Kiss, these German headbangers set the stage for years of success with their first album, a disc of catchy disco-metal good enough to serve as the soundtrack to the band’s prime draw: pyrotechnics and stage effects. But Rammstein has always made music good enough that the band hasn’t yet felt the need to deviate from its all-German vocals. “Reise, Reise” is no exception, playing up its Euro roots on the title track before getting down to business: bombastic stompers and the mocking (and, OK, half-English) “Amerika.”
