Senior center Duke Preston says O’Donnell is ready for prime time.
“As soon as he came in the huddle (after Koch was injured in the first quarter against Florida A&M) he was like a different guy,” Preston said. “I know from the experience of being a backup that’s the hardest part–having the mindset you are going in on the next play. He really stepped it up. Instead of being wide-eyed, he looked ready.
“He’s real smart and real aggressive. His knowledge of the (offensive) scheme and his assignments has really helped take him to the next level.” . . .
