Celebrity designer Chris Madden wants to take the hesitation out of home decorating.
Madden, a TV host, author and columnist, devoted her latest book to demystifying the process. The book, “Haven: Finding the Keys to Your Personal Decorating Style,” dovetails with her new Turning Home Into Haven furniture collection at JC Penney.
The book and the collection seek to simplify decorating choices by dividing them into three categories: romantic, adventurous and serene. The book helps readers decide which style suits them, then gives them direction on the furniture, accessories, colors and other elements that will let them achieve it.
One helpful feature is her inclusion of “how to get this look” tips with some of the room photographs.
