Producer Ben Silverman, who has taken viewers behind the scenes of an eatery and a hair salon, is looking to go deep inside a Las Vegas dance club. Spike TV has ordered 10 episodes of “The Club” with an eye toward an Oct. 12 premiere.
Silverman (“Blow Out”) will reunite with his “Restaurant” partner Robert Riesenberg on “The Club,” which will examine ICE, a Vegas nightclub looking to compete with the flashier offerings on The Strip.
The show will focus on owner Ed Williams’ attempts to give ICE an overhaul as its first anniversary approaches. He’ll recruit noted DJ Paul Oakenfold and Hollywood party planner Allison Melnick for assistance.
The show already has a cast of quirky nightclub characters, including Andrea, the wholesome cocktail waitress with a wild side, and Michael, the efficiency expert who likes nothing more than firing unproductive employees.
