Lance Armstrong first proved he had acting talent on a crucial climb up Alpe d’Huez during the 2001 Tour de France when he convinced his rivals he was in physical distress, only to blow by them moments later.
He’s hamming it up now in his turn as a boxer in a Nike commercial, complete with fake tattoos, sprayed-on skin color to hide his bike tan and cotton balls stuffed in his cheeks to make his face suitably puffy. Next up is a bit part in a Ben Stiller movie that will come out this summer.
It seemed only logical to ask Armstrong the same series of questions host James Lipton has posed to the world’s top thespians on the Bravo network show “Inside the Actors Studio.” The verbatim transcript:
