Watching UPN has rarely been described as death defying, but with the network’s upcoming reality entry “I’m Still Alive!,” viewers will get to witness real people who cheated death in some of the luckiest and most creative ways imaginable.
Mixing never-before-seen video and computer-aided recreations and simulated animations, “I’m Still Alive!” will show how some very fortunate people survived situations that would have left the rest of us squashed, squished, shredded and trampled.
The fortuitous escapes include a skydiver who got tangled in his plane’s gear and was dangling from the plane when the pilot landed. There’s also a rodeo star who withstood the wrath of a fearsome bull and a man who was trapped in a burning racecar.
UPN has ordered five one-hour episodes of the series, which comes from executive producers Arthur Smith and Kent Weed (“Paradise Hotel,” “Mad Mad House”).
There’s no word on whether “I’m Still Alive!” is on a faster development track than UPN’s previous announced and controversial “Amish Gone Wild” series.
