Fox’s “The Swan” will unfurl its wings for a nine-episode run beginning at 8 p.m. March 29.
“The Swan” aims to give 18 women a new look and new self-confidence.

Each woman will be provided with a team of specialists–a coach, therapist, trainer, cosmetic surgeon, dentist and stylist–during a three-month process that begins with a makeover, but also includes what is being described as a “boot camp of exercise, diet, therapy and inspiration.”
During the makeover process, the women won’t be allowed to look at themselves in the mirror. Each episode will focus on two of the contestants, and at the end of each hour, one contestant will be allowed to go on to The 1st Annual Swan Pageant, while the other will be sent home.
The two-hour finale on May 24 will crown “The Ultimate Swan,” the winner out of the thousands of women who sent videotapes to the show’s producers.
