Court TV apparently is ready to make a commitment to NBC’s “Today.” The cable network has given the popular morning show a diamond, or rather Diane Dimond. The Court TV anchor will join “Today” as a legal analyst.
Dimond, who has broken many major stories in the recent Michael Jackson scandal, will help cover the Jackson case for “Today.”
“As celebrity legal cases, like Michael Jackson’s, progress, Diane’s experience and talents will be a tremendous asset to our coverage,” says Tom Touchet, “Today’s”executive producer. “She’s going to help us stay first, comprehensive and up-to-the-minute as this case proceeds.”
Dimond, who was among the first to cover the 1993 sexual molestation allegations against Jackson, became host of Court TV’s “Hollywood at Large” in late November. In the past two months, she has reported on the raid on Jackson’s Neverland Ranch and his arrest.
