Brad Garrett, whose current show will probably be part of some future TV Land lineup, has been named host of the second annual TV Land Awards.

The “Celebration of Classic TV” will tape March 7 at the Hollywood Palladium and air on St. Patrick’s Day.

The show will be Garrett’s first solo turn as an awards show host; he was one of the rotating crew of emcees at the 2003 Emmys.

“Brad is a beloved actor and comic genius whose energy and talent make him the perfect choice as host,” says Larry Jones, executive vice president and general manager of TV Land.

Garrett has won two Emmys for his work as Ray’s (Ray Romano) sad-sack brother Robert on the CBS hit “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He also was nominated last year for his starring role in the CBS movie “Gleason.”

The TV Land Awards honor classic series and stars. A handful of the awards, including those for shows that have a lasting impact on pop culture and for a current show deemed a “future classic,” are voted on by a panel of experts. Fans can vote at www.tvland.com.
