Brittany McCoy scored 17 as No. 3 Loyola broke away from a halftime tie to defeat Lake Zurich 48-38. Maggie Duggan and Eileen Weissmann each contributed 12 points for the Ramblers (16-0). Sara Brown and Amy Lomas each scored 9 for Lake Zurich (10-4). . . . Jessica Keefe drained a 3-pointer with 1:40 left to put Downers South up for good as the Mustangs rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat Barrington 67-60. Brittany Bobruk scored 16 for Downers South (8-6) and Keefe added 15. Lisa Wesolowski hit a 3-pointer with 2:26 left to bring the Mustangs within 1, then hit four straight FT after Keefe’s big shot. Christine Bandy scored 18 to lead Barrington (6-9). . . . Gina Thompson scored 22 and Vanessa Zavala added 20 as Maria outlasted Vernon Hills in 4 OT, 70-64. Lauren Horan and Rachel Blanton each scored 21 for Vernon Hills, which needed an 18-9 fourth-quarter run to force the first OT.

Brittanie Taylor-James poured in 35 points as No. 16 Neuqua Valley rallied to top Mercy Academy of Louisville, Ky., 77-74 in overtime. Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton collected 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (9-2), who trailed 19-7 after the first quarter and 57-49 at the start of the fourth. Laura Rather led Mercy Academy with 16 points.
Mother McAuley
Jackie Waller scored 8 of her 16 in the fourth quarter as the host Mighty Macs held off Trinity 48-40 and won the title. Mother McAuley (11-3, 2-1) rallied from a 14-0 deficit in what also counted as a GCAC Red conference game. “We have so much resiliency,” McAuley coach Rick Mundo said. “We’re like one of those Super Balls. We just keep bouncing back and bouncing back.”
Toni Carter scored 15 to lead Trinity (8-4, 2-2), which played without DePaul signee Caprice Smith, who was out with the flu. Katie Jarger, who scored 45 in two wins Friday, scored 8 against McAuley but suffered a right ankle injury with 6:45 left and did not return. . . . Ashley Easley’s 19 points led Joliet to a 54-48 win over Illiana Christian and a third-place finish. Katie Vanderhyden added 12 points for Joliet (8-8). “We tried to play as many girls as we could to get ready for our tough conference,” Joliet coach Danny Turner said. “We’re still trying to teach skill. We have a lot of athleticism.” Erica Bruxvoort scored 23 for Illiana Christian (9-7), which made things interesting with a 10-0 fourth-quarter run. . . . This game I think we’ve finally pulled it through.” Keilani Moeaki scored 9 to lead Wheaton South (7-6). … Kelsey Monroe and Shaina Sullivan each scored 7 as West Chicago (8-6) edged Glenbard West 36-28. Kelly Krumwiede led Glenbard West (6-8) with 10 points.

Tournament MVP Natasha Williams collected 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks as Niles North pulled away to beat Oak Park 63-46 for the championship. Marissa Norman contributed 17 points and 7 assists for the Vikings (12-5). Brittney Marshall led Oak Park (10-7) with 17 points. . . . Nicole Baich tallied 13 points as Nazareth defeated Lane Tech 57-49 for third place.
St. Viator
Krista Mayyou hit a pair of FTs with 3:36 left to put St. Viator up 49-48 and spark a game-ending 9-0 run as the host Lions upended Harlan 56-48. Lauren Griebel hit four free throws in the final 48 seconds and finished with 14 points for St. Viator (6-5), while Mayyou and Briana Lasco each scored 12. Andrea Downs led Harlan with 19 points, and Ollie Gilliard hit 5 three-pointers and scored 17. . . . Freshman center Taylor Lawless scored 11 of her 22 points in the first quarter and grabbed nine rebounds as Wheeling routed Ridgewood 87-50.
