Niles North tournament

Kristin Heidloff had 14 points for No. 2 Fenwick (2-0) in its 78-48 defeat of Resurrection. Junior Kristi Cirone scored the 1,000th point of her career for Resurrection (1-1). . . . No. 12 Fremd’s Blair Lehman hit two free throws with 4.2 seconds to play to seal a 37-33 win over No. 11 Niles North. Stacy Gillette put Fremd (2-1) up for good 34-33 on a putback with 2:50 left. Natasha Williams finished with 21 points (five in the 2nd half) for Niles North (0-2). . . . Jenny Eckhart finished with 21 points for No. 18 Carmel (3-0) as it rolled past York 72-22.

Buffalo Grove tournament

Maine South outscored No. 4 New Trier 20-5 in the fourth quarter but could not catch the Trevians, who prevailed 47-45. Amy Jaeschke led New Trier (2-0) with 13 points, while Christine Solari had nine for the Hawks (1-1). . . . No. 20 Buffalo Grove outlasted Warren 47-43 as Ashley Sandstead scored 10 of her 20 points in the third quarter during a 17-3 run for the Bison. Freshman Rachel Buchek chipped in 10 points for Buffalo Grove (2-0), while Jessica Bollinger led Warren (0-2) with 15 points.

Hinsdale South tournament

In its 48-36 victory over Plainfield, No. 5 Neuqua Valley (2-0) took control in the second quarter as Brittanie Taylor-James hit five three-pointers and scored 17 points. Taylor-James finished with 29 points, including a school record seven 3s to go with Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton’s 14 points and nine blocks. . . . Tamika Curtis came off the bench to total 16 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks to lead Nazareth past No. 17 Hinsdale Central 42-28. Curtis had 13 in the first half and was 5-for-5 from the line in the first quarter. Kate Gula scored all of her 13 points in the second half for the Roadrunners (1-2). Stefanie Reiff had eight points for Hinsdale Central (1-1), which committed 26 turnovers.

Naperville Central/East Aurora/Benet tournament

No. 7 Benet (3-0) cruised past East Aurora 44-14 as Amy Hunckler had 10 points. . . . Erin Cattell’s 15 points led No. 10 Sandburg (2-0) past Batavia 67-40.

Deerfield tournament

No. 8 Loyola used a 22-2 third-quarter run in its 60-29 victory over North Chicago. Brittany McCoy scored 24 points for the Ramblers (4-0). . . . Lake Forest used three first-half 7-0 runs to take a 30-19 halftime lead and hang on 57-50 over Deerfield. Kristin Cartwright had 32 points for the Scouts (2-0). . . . Freshman Sierra Shipley had 18 points as Waukegan (1-2) defeated Zion-Benton 42-36. Lacey Simpson was held to just four points for Zion (0-3). . . . Highland Park’s Roma Pawelek (13 points) missed an 18-footer with one second to play as Round Lake (2-0) survived 41-39 behind Jamie Schausel’s 14 points. . . . Hillcrest (2-0) handled Glenbrook North 61-37 behind 17 points from Briana Dunlap and 11 from Shaneya Acker.

Romeoville tournament

Heather King scored 14 points and Rachel Newtoff added 11 as No. 19 Stagg (4-0) beat the host Spartans 60-29.
