The host Vikings (15-3-2) won their first regional title since 1996 behind Brent Vermeulen’s three goals. Pat Lenehan also scored for Illiana Christian, while Juan Guzman scored for Bremen (13-10).

Fenwick regional final Adam Elpayaa scored his 10th goal of the season in the 59th minute to lift the Friars (17-3-2). Elpayaa, who had been benched at the start of the second half, scored on a header off a corner kick from Phil Yeager.

Alex Paull scored on a header off an assist from Ryan Maxey with 6:40 left in OT to lift the Navigators (11-8-1). Matt Bowers gave Vernon Hills (8-7-3) a 1-0 lead when he scored in the 21st minute. Jeser Perez scored to tie the game 1-1 in the 29th minute.

Public League semifinals
Elizabeth Smith’s seven kills and three blocks helped Lane (19-7) beat Northside Prep (19-8) for the fourth time this season. Vanessa Mizel contributed 12 assists for the winners, who trailed early in both games.
