In celebration of October’s National Kitchen and Bath Month, the kitchen and bath showrooms at The Merchandise Mart will open their doors to the public for shopping, consultations, workshops and seminars on Saturday. Visitors can check out the nation’s largest selection of high-performance, high-end kitchen, bath and building products displayed at participating showrooms, such as Christopher Peacock Cabinetry, Poggenpohl of Chicago, Hastings Tile & Il Bagno Collection, Rutt of Chicago and many more.

Special Saturday shopping hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (The Kitchen and Bath floor, Floor 13, is always open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays).
“Designs for Living” seminar at 11 a.m., offers a perspective on designs for every aspect of your life, , presented by Elizabeth Mayhew, style editor of House Beautiful magazine. The free seminar will take place in the Merchandise Mart Conference Center on the 2nd floor. Box lunches will be provided; reservations are required by Wednesday. “Trends in Design” seminar at 1 p.m., presented by interior designer John Robert Wiltgen of John Robert Wiltgen Design Inc., Chicago, provides an insider’s look into the finest kitchens and baths. This free seminar also will take place in the Mart Conference Center on the 2nd floor. Box lunches will be provided; reservations required by Wednesday. Complimentary in-showroom design consultations will be given to visitors who bring their kitchen or bath floor plans.
