Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Rock ‘n’ roll laser shows were so 20th Century. These days, all the kids groove to high-definition video images of the Grand Canyon, the Las Vegas Strip and the recent Columbia space-shuttle voyage — with rocker Joe Walsh, soft-rocker Christopher Cross and “Wichita Lineman” songwriter Jimmy Webb performing, in person and everything, in the background. “HDPlanet,” introduced with the endorsements of disco-killing Chicago radio legend Steve Dahl and veteran TV journalist Bill Kurtis, runs at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Norris Center, 1050 Dunham Rd., in St. Charles. Tickets: $75 ($55 for balcony seats). 630-584-7200.
